How often should a baby have a diaper free time?
Baby diapers are a part of parenting and your little ones would be weary wearing diapers all through the day and night. It is advisable that they are given a diaper free time to prevent the baby’s skin from getting dry.
Whenever your little ones dump in the diapers and when you sense that a diaper change is required do so after changing the soiled diaper and after a good clean wash, pat your baby’s bottom dry with a clean white towel and before applying diaper cream let your baby’ bottom have a diaper free time. This practice would allow your baby’s skin to get aerated especially around the groin and the genitals and it helps in moistening the surface on the baby’s skin. This practice also helps in preventing rashes as the skin gets sufficient aerated time.
Likewise, everytime after a good bath let your baby have some good diaper free time and it is common for babies to poop or pee after a good bath owing to change in their body temperature. It is important that if at all your baby develops rashes it is mandatory to give your baby a diaper free days as it may increase the risk of causing skin ulcers.
